World Combat League
The World Combat League (WCL) was a full contact, team-based kickboxing promotion. It was founded by movie star and martial artist Chuck Norris. Rules The rules are typical of other full contact striking competitions, with some minor variation. Any striking techniques from Boxing, International-Style Kickboxing, and Full-Contact Karate were allowed. In order to maintain the fast pace of the action, clinching, holding or ground fighting (grappling) were prohibited. Chuck Norris
Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris (born March 10, 1940) is an American martial artist and actor. He is a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo. After serving in the United States Air Force, Norris won many martial arts championships and later founded his own discipline Chun Kuk Do. Shortly after, in Hollywood, Norris trained celebrities in martial arts. Norris went on to appear in a minor role in the spy film ''The Wrecking Crew'' (1969). Friend and fellow martial artist Bruce Lee invited him to play one of the main villains in ''Way of the Dragon'' (1972). Jarrell Miller (born July 15, 1988) is an American professional boxer and former kickboxer who competes in the heavyweight division. Pat Barry (kickboxer)
Patrick Joseph Barry (born July 7, 1979) is a former American mixed martial artist and kickboxer who competed as a heavyweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is particularly known for his low kicks. Barry began practicing Sanda while a college student and won numerous titles at domestic and international level before joining K-1 in 2005 where he competed for two years, mostly as a participant on the promotion's North American events.
