''Work of Art'' is the second studio album by Nigerian singer Asake, released on 16 June 2023 through YBNL Nation and Empire Distribution. Preceded by the release of the singles "Yoga", "2:30" and " Amapiano", the album features 14 tracks, with a sole guest appearance from Olamide who was featured on "Amapiano". A remix of " Lonely at the Top" with American singer H.E.R. was released in November 2023. Critical reception Alexis Petridis of '' The Guardian'' remarked that "perhaps the speed and urgency with which sakemakes music accounts for the fact that ''Work of Art'' doesn't shift dramatically away from the blueprint laid out on ''Mr. Money with the Vibe''" but also "perhaps Asake is disinclined to fix something that isn't broken, and not merely on account of his last album's success: the constituent elements still amount to a beguilingly lovely sound, summery and appealing". Ahmed Ololade (born 13 January 1995), known professionally as Asake, is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter. He is signed to YBNL Nation and Empire Distribution. His stage name pays homage to his mother, whose first name is Asake. To pronounce his name is "A-SHA-KE" Career Asake studied Dramatic Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. Although he had been releasing music since 2018, his musical career progressed further in 2020 when he released the single "Mr. Money". A remix with Zlatan and Peruzzi followed. He broke out in the industry when he released the 2020 single "Lady". Olamide signed Asake to YBNL Records in February 2022. That same month he released his debut extended play, ''Ololade'', which featured his breakthrough song "Omo Ope" featuring Olamide. Ayinla Omowura
Waidi Ayinla Yusuf Gbogbolowo better known as Ayinla Omowura (1933 – 6 May 1980) was a Nigerian Apala musician born in Itoko, Abeokuta in 1933. Biography Omowura was the son of Yusuff Gbogbolowo, a blacksmith, and Wuramotu Morenike. He did not have formal education and started out working at his father's smithy but left and went on to working several jobs as a driver, butcher, carpenter and bus park boy. He was however discovered by Adewole Alao Oniluola, who later became his lead drummer and started an apprenticeship in Olalomi, an Apala variant. Omowura was known for feuding with other musicians including his superiors such as Haruna Ishola, whom he later acknowledged to be his superior. The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) is a non-profit association set up in 1999 to promote certain interests of the music industry in Ireland.
