Woolf College, Kent
Woolf College is the fifth college of the University of Kent and was established in 2008, following the founding of Darwin College 38 years earlier. The college was officially opened on April 9, 2009, by Allan Willett. It is built and managed by University Partnerships Programme (UPP). The college is located on Giles Lane in Canterbury, England, and is named after the writer Virginia Woolf. The college accommodates both postgraduate students and returning undergraduate students, providing modern facilities designed to support academic and social engagement. The college provides self-catered accommodation with separate blocks for undergraduates and postgraduates. Rosi Braidotti (; born 28 September 1954) is a contemporary philosopher and feminist theoretician. Biography Career Braidotti, who holds Italian and Australian citizenship, was born in Italy and moved to Australia when she was 16, where she received degrees from the Australian National University in Canberra in 1977 and was awarded the University Medal in Philosophy and the University Tillyard prize. Braidotti then moved on to do her doctoral work at the Sorbonne, where she received her degree in philosophy in 1981. She has taught at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands since 1988, when she was appointed as the founding professor in women's studies.
