Woody Point Memorial Hall
Woody Point Memorial Hall is a heritage-listed school of arts at Hornibrook Esplanade, Woody Point, City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Hubert George Octavius Thomas. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 14 March 2014. History The former Woody Point Memorial School of Arts, now known as the Woody Point War Memorial Hall, is a timber building located at the corner of Hornibrook Esplanade and Oxley Avenue, Woody Point. It was officially opened on 4 March 1922 and contains an honour board listing 94 men from the Redcliffe Peninsula who enlisted in World War I (WWI), along with the names of three war workers. The hall, which initially included a library and reading room, is a product of both the mechanics' institute / school of arts movement, and post-WWI efforts in Queensland to commemorate those who served and those who died in WWI. Woody Point is a coastal suburb of Redcliffe in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Woody Point had a population of 4,418 people. North Pine Sports Club is an Australian football (soccer) club from Dakabin, a suburb of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. The club currently play in the Capital League 1 after relegation from Brisbane Premier League in 2016. History North Pine United Soccer Club was formed in 1974, originally playing its home games on the centre arena of the Lawnton Showgrounds. The club commenced fielding teams competitively in 1977, by joining the Brisbane North Junior Soccer Association and fielding a senior team in Brisbane's Division Seven. Wooroolin is a rural town and a locality in the South Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia. Geography Wooroolin is on the Bunya Highway, north west of the state capital, Brisbane, and 17 km's North of the main town, Kingaroy. Bald Hills is the northernmost suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the Bald Hills had a population of 6,502 people. Geography Bald Hills is a largely residential suburb.
