William Robert Woodman
Dr. William Robert Woodman (1828– 20 December 1891), one of three co-founders of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Biography Early years Woodman was born in England in 1828. He studied medicine and was licensed in 1851 and volunteered as a surgeon during Napoleon III's '' coup d'etat''. Afterwards, he set up his own practice at Stoke Newington where he also served as police surgeon. He had a love for gardening and was a prominent horticulturalist and flower exhibitor. Inheritance left him with some property in Exeter, he retired there in 1871 to pursue his gardening aspirations, but moved back to London in 1887. Trevor James Woodman MBE (born 4 August 1976) is a former English rugby union footballer. He was born in Plymouth, but went to Liskeard School in Cornwall and won representative honours with Cornwall Under 16s. Woodman moved from Cornwall and played first for Plymouth Albion and Bath before joining Gloucester Rugby in 1996. Whilst at Gloucester he was a replacement in the 2002 Zurich Championship Final (the year before winning the play-offs constituted winning the English title) in which Gloucester defeated Bristol Rugby, and started in the 2003 Powergen Cup Final in which Gloucester defeated Northampton Saints. Richard Woodman (1524? – 22 June 1557) was a Protestant martyr, who was born in Buxted and lived in nearby Warbleton in East Sussex. He was burnt during the Marian Persecutions in 1557 in Lewes. Captain Richard Martin Woodman LVO (born 1944) is an English novelist and naval historian who retired in 1997 from a 37-year nautical career, mainly working for Trinity House, to write full-time. Writing His main work is 14 novels about the career of Nathaniel Drinkwater, and shorter series about James Dunbar and William Kite, but he also has written a range of factual books about 18th century and WW2 history. Taui Ben Kawhena Woodman (born 9 May 1960) is a former New Zealand rugby union player. Andrew John Woodman (born 11 August 1971) is an English football manager and former player, who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently manager of Vanarama National League club Bromley. Woodman made league appearances for 10 clubs in England during his playing career.
