Woodland Sound Studios
Woodland Studios is a music recording studio located at 1011 Woodland Street in East Nashville, Tennessee originally founded in 1967. The studios have been the site of numerous notable recordings by artists including Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jimmy Buffett, Billy "Crash" Craddock, Kansas (band), Kansas, Neil Young, Charlie Daniels Band, Tammy Wynette, George Strait, Indigo Girls, and others. Since 2001 the studios have been owned by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. Quonset Hut Studio was a music recording studio established in 1954 in Nashville, Tennessee by brothers Harold and Owen Bradley as Bradley's Film & Recording Studios and later operated as Columbia Studio B. The Quonset Hut was the first commercial recording studio in what would later become known as Music Row. Today the studio serves as a recording classroom for Belmont University. History In 1954, producer Owen Bradley, along with his brother Harold Bradley, purchased a house at 804 16th Avenue South in Nashville for $7500 to convert into a film and recording studio. Jack Blanchard & Misty Morgan were an American country music duo from Florida consisting of guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Jack Blanchard (born May 8, 1942) and his wife, keyboardist/vocalist Misty Morgan (May 23, 1945 – January 1, 2021). The duo recorded for several labels in the 1970s, including the charting albums ''Birds of a Feather'' and ''Two Sides of Jack and Misty''.
