Wonokromo Station
Wonokromo Station (WO) is a large class type C railway station in Jagir, Wonokromo, Surabaya, East Java. The station is located about south of Station. This station is the railway junction from Surabaya Gubeng station, Sidoarjo and to Madiun. The name of this station must be distinguished from Wonokromo Kota Station. The Wonokromo station that is operating now is the legacy station Staatsspoorwegen, while Wonokromo Kota Station is the station of the cross-Surabaya tram line operated by Oost-Java Stoomtram Maatschappij. Wonokromo
Wonokromo is an administrative district (''kecamatan'') in the city of Surabaya, Indonesia. The Wonokromo railway station serves the area. The Kalimas River originally turned north and empties into the Tanjung Perak and Kali Jagir, a manmade branch of the river that connects east to the sea and includes a dam built by the Dutch. The area is also home to DTC (Darmo Trade Center) formerly the Wonokromo Market. Sidoarjo Railway Station
Sidoarjo Station (SDA) is a railway station located in Lemahputro, Sidoarjo, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The station passes the railway to the east (Jember-Banyuwangi) and the path to Malang-Blitar. The station located at the height of + 4 meters is included in the Operation Area VIII Surabaya. History The station initially had seven track with track 1 as a straight track, but track 5 has now been evicted for new platforms and tracks 6 and 7 have now been evicted in 1992 for the purpose of shop development. Formerly this station contained locomotive depot and warehouse, but was demolished in 1992 due to the construction of shop. From track 4, the dead track that leads to is reactivated as part of the relocation of the Wonokromo–Bangil railway line following the hot mudflow in Porong. Surabaya Kota Railway Station
Surabaya Kota Station is a railway station in Bongkaran, Pabean Cantikan, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. The local people usually call it Semut Station. History Located at the center of the city, the station is also the oldest railway station in Surabaya, built in 1875 and opened in 1878. The station has two buildings, the old building is located at the north-east of the newer building, whereas the new building is located at the end of the tracks. The historic old building was demolished because of mall building near the station, but the mall building process was stopped because it didn't have a building license, and the old building has been protected and chosen as one of the heritages in Surabaya. Ketapang Railway Station (Banyuwangi)
Ketapang Station (formerly Banyuwangi Baru Station) is a railway station, managed by Kereta Api Indonesia, located at Ketapang, Kalipuro, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java. This station is at the most southeastern railway station in Southeast Asia. As of 1 December 2019, the station was renamed into "Ketapang Station" based on the proposal of the Banyuwangi Regency Government to Kereta Api Indonesia so that it can make it easier for tourists visiting Banyuwangi. History The background to the opening of the new port in Ketapang was the silting of the port city of Banyuwangi (now Boom Beach) which made it difficult for freight ships to lean on the pier. Oost-Java Stoomtram Maatschappij (OJS) ( en, East Java Steam Tram Company) is the name of a private railway company which once operated in Surabaya, Dutch East Indies. The network had 46 stops with a total of near 66 miles (107 km) track; prior to its demise, it operated between the cities of Surabaya and Sidoarjo, Mojokerto Regency and Jombang Regency, on a mixture of former railway lines and urban on-street running. Currently all OJS railway lines are assets of Kereta Api Indonesia. History The history of the Oost-Java Stoomtram Maatschappij originated in 1886 when the OJS received a concession permit from the Dutch East Indies Colonial Government. ''Staatsspoorwegen'' (Dutch for State Railways, full name: ''Dienst der Staatsspoor- en Tramwegen in Nederlandsch–Indië'' (State Railways and Tramways Service in the Netherlands Indies, ''SS en T''), commonly abbreviated as SS) was a railway company owned by the Dutch East Indies colonial government. The company was one of the companies that were transferred to the present Kereta Api Indonesia after Indonesian independence in 1945.
