''Wonderland'' is the fifth full-length studio album by English Gothic rock band Nosferatu ''Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror'' (German: ''Nosferatu – Eine Symphonie des Grauens'') is a 1922 silent German Expressionist horror film directed by F. W. Murnau and starring Max Schreck as Count Orlok, a vampire who preys on the wife .... It was released in the UK in March 2011 by Dark Fortune Records. It was available on export to Germany, Austria and Switzerland with distribution by Indigo, to USA with distribution by Revelation Records and Italy with distribution by Audioglobe. It is their first album to see the return of vocalist Louis DeWray who rejoined the band in 2003. The album was recorded and mixed at Louis DeWray's Earth Terminal Studios between 2004 and 2011. Nosferatu (band)
Nosferatu are an English second wave gothic rock band. As of 2022, the members are Damien DeVille (lead guitar) and Tim Vic (vocals and guitar). History Nosferatu were formed in March 1988 by guitarist Damien DeVille, bassist Vlad Janicek, and vocalist Sapphire Aurora. In 1990, they debuted with the track "Bloodlust" on a compilation album. Ex Grenadier Guard Gary Clarke (The Cureheads) Took over from Sapphire & fronted the band on their first Uk tour, opening for Every New Dead Ghost. Clarke left in late 1990 to start The Cureheads. In 1991, they recorded ''The Hellhound'' EP with vocalist Louis DeWray replacing Clarke. In 1992, Dave Roberts of the gothic rock group Sex Gang Children wanted Nosferatu to release a compilation of their singles so far under the Cleopatra Records label, but the band agreed to record new songs towards their debut album ''Rise'' in 1993. Gothic Rock
Gothic rock (also called goth rock or simply goth) is a style of rock music that emerged from post-punk in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s. The first post-punk bands which shifted toward dark music with gothic overtones include Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, Bauhaus, and the Cure. The genre itself was defined as a separate movement from post-punk. Gothic rock stood out due to its darker sound, with the use of primarily minor or bass chords, reverb, dark arrangements, or dramatic and melancholic melodies, having inspirations in gothic literature allied with themes such as sadness, nihilism, dark romanticism, tragedy, melancholy and morbidity. These themes are often approached poetically. The sensibilities of the genre led the lyrics to represent the evil of the century and the romantic idealization of death and the supernatural imagination. Somebody Put Something In My Drink
"Somebody Put Something in My Drink" is a song by the Ramones from their 1986 album ''Animal Boy''. The song also appears on the Ramones compilation album ''Ramones Mania''. Written by Ramones drummer Richie Ramone, who had joined the band in 1983, "Somebody Put Something in My Drink" was based on an actual incident in which he was given a drink spiked with LSD. This song has been covered by Children of Bodom, The Meteors, Plan 4, Nosferatu (band), Nosferatu, Mortifer, Farben Lehre, Acid Drinkers, Reincidentes, The Gobshites and The Beasts.
