World Wonder Ring Stardom (スターダム 女子プロレス), often referred to simply as Stardom (stylized as ST★RDOM), is a Japanese '' joshi puroresu'' or women's professional wrestling promotion based in Tokyo, Japan. Stardom was founded in September 2010 by former All Japan Women co-producer Rossy Ogawa, retired professional wrestler and mixed martial artist Fuka Kakimoto, and All Japan Women veteran professional wrestler Nanae Takahashi. Stardom is currently owned by Japanese card game company Bushiroad, making it the sister promotion of New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). was a professional wrestling event promoted by World Wonder Ring Stardom. It took place on December 29, 2021, with a limited attendance due in part to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic at the time. The event marked the last pay-per-view of 2021 hosted by the promotion. The preshow matches were broadcast on Stardom's YouTube channel. Storylines The show featured eight professional wrestling matches that resulted from scripted storylines, where wrestlers portrayed villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches. The NWA World Women's Championship is a women's professional wrestling world championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). The title was first won by Mildred Burke in 1937 defeating Clara Mortensen. The championship is currently held by Kamille, who is in her first reign. Yuhi (wrestler)
is a Japanese retired professional wrestler. She was trained in not only professional wrestling, but also kickboxing, by Ikuto Hidaka and Satoshi Kobayashi at the Pro Wrestling Zero1 Norainu Dojo and made her debut on April 24, 2012, against Yuzuki Aikawa. She remained affiliated with Zero1 for her entire career, but, due to the low number of women's matches held by the promotion, spent most of her time working with the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion, where she won the Rookie of Stardom tournament in December 2012 and her first professional wrestling title, the Artist of Stardom Championship, in June 2013.
