The Women's CIMB Kuala Lumpur Open Squash Championships 2013 is the women's edition of the 2013 Kuala Lumpur Open Squash Championships, which is a tournament of the WSA World Series event Gold (prize money: 70 000 $). The event took place in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia from 27 March to 31 March. Laura Massaro won her first CIMB Kuala Lumpur Open trophy, beating Alison Waters in the final. Annie Au
Annie Au Wing Chi (; born February 9, 1989), known as Annie Au, is a former professional squash player who represented Hong Kong. Career Annie is a left-hander from Asia who has made a great impression as a junior. Not only winning British Junior Open titles but reaching the final of the Asian Junior and being a member of the Hong Kong team which won the world juniors is also on her record. She is a tribute to the Hong Kong Squash development schemes. She started playing squash at school aged thirteen through the promotional scheme. She was coached by national coach Faheem Khan. Au reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 6 in May 2012. In 2016, she was part of the Hong Kong team that won the bronze medal at the 2016 Women's World Team Squash Championships in France. Two years later in 2018, she was again part of the Hong Kong team that won the bronze medal at the 2018 Women's World Team Squash Championships. Au retired in 2020 to join the police force. Lauren Briggs (born 8 August 1979 in Stanford-Le-Hope) is a professional squash player who represents England. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 18 in December 2008. She has twelve International tour titles accredited to her name, winning tournaments in America, Finland, France, Holland, Malaysia, Switzerland, England, Scotland and Wales. Briggs retired from the International WSA Tour in 2013. In February 2015, Briggs entered into the Masters British National Championships and won the Over 35's Masters British National Championship for the first time. In the following May 2015, she won the Over 35's British Open Championship. Her Master's success continued in September 2015 after winning the European Masters in Malmo, Sweden. Dipika Pallikal Karthik (née Pallikal; born 21 September 1991) is an Indian professional squash player. She is the first Indian to break into the top 10 in the PSA Women's rankings. Dipika Pallikal came to prominence in 2011, when she won three WISPA tour titles. She broke into the top 10 in December 2012. Omneya Abdel Kawy ( ar, أمنية عبد القوي; born 15 August 1985, in Cairo) is a former professional squash player from Egypt. Career Omneya crowned a successful junior career in 2003 in her home city of Cairo when she became the first Egyptian woman to win a world junior title having won the 2003 World Junior Championship; she had previously been the runner up to Nicol David in 1999 and 2001.
