Wolves (Story Of The Year Album)
''Wolves'' is the fifth studio album by American rock band Story of the Year. The album was released on December 8, 2017. In October 2017, the band released "Bang Bang", their first single in more than seven years. Background After touring constantly for close to a decade, the band took a hiatus and started families. During that time, bass guitarist Adam Russell and the ensemble parted ways with Philip Sneed taking over on bass. However, in 2018, Sneed announced his departure, along with the return of Russell to the band. The group funded their album via PledgeMusic. Composition Lead vocalist Dan Marsala states that "Bang Bang" "encompasses the message of the album at large – the idea of the wolves closing in and time running out". Story of the Year is an American rock band formed in St. Louis, Missouri, Story of the Year at Allmusic.comAccessed May 17, 2007. in 1995 under the name 67 North. The band eventually changed their name to Big Blue Monkey in 1998, and then subsequently changed it again to Story of the Year in 2002, after the release of their EP titled ''Story of the Year'' on the indie label Criterion Records. At the time, they claimed they discovered that a blues group named Big Blue Monkey had already existed. Later, on their podcast "Page Avenue Crew", they clarified that they just didn't care for the name and made up the excuse of another band having the same name. Melodic hardcore is a broadly defined subgenre of hardcore punk with a strong emphasis on melody in its guitar work. Aaron Sprinkle
Aaron Sprinkle (born March 20, 1974) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer from Seattle, Washington. Career His career in music began in high school with a group called BellBangVilla. BellBangVilla became Poor Old Lu and they released a number of albums (see below). Aaron Sprinkle also sang and played lead guitar in Rose Blossom Punch, and has produced albums independently. On his solo releases, he plays almost all instruments except drums. He produced dozens of records for Tooth & Nail Records between 1993 and 2016. In 2005, Sprinkle formed the band Fair with Joey Sanchez, Nick Barber, and Erick Newbill. Fair released its debut album '' The Best Worst-Case Scenario'' on Tooth & Nail Records in June 2006. ''The Constant'' is the fourth studio album by American Rock music, rock band Story of the Year. It was released on February 16, 2010, through Epitaph Records and, like the band's previous record, was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette who has also produced albums by Alter Bridge, Chevelle (band), Chevelle, Escape the Fate, blessthefall, Fact (band), Fact, and A Change of Pace. This was the last studio album to feature bassist Adam Russell who left the band in 2014. Russell would rejoin the band in 2018.
