Wojciech Szala
Wojciech Szala (born January 27, 1976 in Piotrków Trybunalski) is a Polish footballer. Career GKS Katowice Szala played in GKS Katowice between 1994 and 2001 for which he played in 93 matches and scored one goal. With GKS Katowice he won Polish Supercup in (1995). Legia Warszawa In summer 2001, he was recruited for Legia Warszawa by Dragomir Okuka. He made his debut in Ruch Chorzów - Legia Warszawa match (0:4). He played for ninety minutes. In this season he won the league with Legia, as well as the League Cup. While Okuka was Legia's coach, Szala played as right midfielder from time to time. Next coach, Dariusz Kubicki, put him exclusively as a right defender. The following temporary coach, Jacek Zieliński (from early 2005) moved Szala to the center defense. Piotrków Trybunalski
Piotrków Trybunalski (; also known by alternative names), often simplified to Piotrków, is a city in central Poland with 71,252 inhabitants (2021). It is the second-largest city situated in the Łódź Voivodeship. Previously, it was the capital of an independent Piotrków Voivodeship (1975–1998); it is now the capital of Piotrków County. Founded in the late Middle Ages, Piotrków was once a royal city and an important place in Polish history; the first parliament sitting was held here in the 15th century. It then became the seat of a Crown Tribunal, the highest court of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. The city also hosted one of Poland's oldest Jewish communities, which was entirely destroyed by the Holocaust. Dariusz Wdowczyk
Dariusz Wdowczyk (born 25 September 1962) is a Polish football player and coach, who was previously the manager of Piast Gliwice. He played for Gwardia Warszawa, Legia Warsaw, Celtic, Reading, and Polonia Warsaw. He has subsequently carved out a career in football management. In the 2005/06 season he led Legia Warsaw to the league title. On 13 April 2007 he was replaced as manager of Legia Warsaw by Jacek Zieliński, following a run of bad results. He joined Livingston as Director of Football on 28 June 2007, to assist new manager Mark Proctor, his main objective was to investigate the foreign market, in particular the Eastern European market. It was announced on 30 October 2007 that Wdowczyk was to leave Livingston to embark on a second spell as manager of Polonia Warsaw. Dariusz Jan Kubicki (born 6 June 1963) is a Polish football manager and a former player. Playing career He played for a few clubs, including Stal Mielec, Legia Warsaw, he then went to England and played for Aston Villa, Sunderland, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tranmere Rovers, Carlisle United and Darlington. He played little part in the Aston Villa teams which came second in the 1993 Premier League and won the 1994 Football League Cup, but played a more active part in Sunderland's promotion to the Premier League in 1996. Kubicki was controversially dropped from the team by manager Peter Reid for a game against Derby County when selecting Kubicki would have meant him overtaking the club record for consecutive appearances in the post-war period, still held by George Mulhall.
