Wizz Air Bulgaria Airlines EAD was the Bulgarian division of the Hungarian Wizz Air. History The Bulgarian company was awarded licenses to begin services to Greece, Turkey and Moldova in 2006. In 2011 Wizz Air Bulgaria merged with its parent for operational reasons. All flights are now operated by Wizz Air Hungary. Wizz Air Bulgaria operated flights from Sofia to Barcelona, Valencia, Milan, Brussels and increased the number of flights to London/Luton, Rome/Fiumicino/Ciampino and Dortmund by commissioning a third Airbus A320 to serve the new routes. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi LLC is an Emirati scheduled low-cost airline based at Abu Dhabi International Airport, UAE. The airline is a joint venture with state-owned ADQ (formerly, Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company, ADDH), which owns 51 percent with Wizz Air Holdings owning the remaining 49 percent. Wizz Air Ukraine ( uk, Товариство з обмеженою відповідальністю „Авіалінії Візз Ейр Україна”) was the Ukrainian division of the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air based at Kyiv International Airport with additional minor operations out of Lviv International Airport. It ceased operations by 20 April 2015. History Wizz Air Ukraine commenced domestic operations in Ukraine on 11 July 2008 and later added international flights. Domestic operations were later discontinued. In October 2013, the airline opened its second base at Donetsk International Airport by deploying one aircraft and opening six new routes. Raymond Ronald Jones (born 25 April 1939), better-known as Wizz Jones, is an English acoustic guitarist, singer and songwriter. He was born in Thornton Heath, Surrey, England and has been performing since the late 1950s and sound recording and reproduction, recording from 1965 to the present. He has worked with many of the notable guitarists of the British folk revival, such as John Renbourn and Bert Jansch. Early days Jones became infatuated with the bohemian image of Woody Guthrie and Jack Kerouac and grew his hair long. His mother had started calling him Wizzy after the ''The Beano, Beano'' comic strip character "Wizzy the Wuz" because at the age of nine Raymond was a budding magician. The nickname stuck throughout his school years and when he formed his first band, "The Wranglers", in 1957 the name became permanent.
