WizardWorks Games
WizardWorks Group, Inc. was an American video game developer and publisher based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company was founded in 1980 and, in 1993, WizardWorks opened the CompuWorks and MacSoft divisions. In 1996, WizardWorks was acquired by GT Interactive to become part of their GT Value Products umbrella, which was later abandoned. Through acquisitions, GT Interactive became Atari. On March 29, 2004, Atari, Inc. closed down all operations of WizardWorks, and folded outstanding projects into their publishing branch in Beverly, Massachusetts. A subsidiary, subsidiary company or daughter company is a company owned or controlled by another company, which is called the parent company or holding company. ''Claw'' is a 2D side-scroller platform video game published by Monolith Productions in 1997 about an anthropomorphic pirate cat who sets on a quest to find an ancient amulet while fighting enemies and solving puzzles. It is Monolith's second release after ''Blood'', which was released that same year in May. Plot A famous cat pirate, Captain Nathaniel Joseph Claw, is imprisoned by the Cocker-Spaniards (a dog species, a pun on Cocker Spaniel) after they attack and sink his ship. In the prison cell, waiting for his execution, he finds a note and a piece of a map hidden in the wall. ''Carnivores: Ice Age'' is a first-person shooter video game developed by Action Forms and published by WizardWorks for Microsoft Windows. It is the third game in the ''Carnivores'' series. ''Carnivores 2'' is a first-person shooter video game developed by Action Forms and published by WizardWorks in North America on October 21, 1999. It is the sequel to the 1998 video game ''Carnivores'' and is the second in the ''Carnivores'' series. The source code became available on Assembla in 2013. Gameplay The DinoHunt Corporation continues to allow people to hunt dinosaurs on the planet FMM UV-32. After further exploration of the dinosaur planet, more islands have been opened to a growing number of customers. Gameplay is similar to the original ''Carnivores'', with some changes.
