Hendrikus Johannes "Johan" Witteveen (12 June 1921 – 23 April 2019) was a Dutch politician and economist who served as the fifth managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from 1973 to 1978. Witteveen attended the Gymnasium Erasmianum in Rotterdam from June 1933 until June 1939 and applied at the Rotterdam School of Economics in June 1939 majoring in Economics. On 10 May 1940 Nazi Germany invaded the Netherlands and the government fled to London to escape the German occupation. During the German occupation Witteveen continued his study obtaining an Bachelor of Economics degree in June 1941 but in April 1943 the German occupation authority closed the Rotterdam School of Economics. Willem Witteveen
Willem Johannes Witteveen (; 5 May 195217 July 2014) was a Dutch legal scholar, politician, and author. He was a law professor at Tilburg University (1990–2014) and a Member of the Senate for the Labour Party (1999–2007; 2013–2014). He was also the author of several books about law and politics. Witteveen was killed on 17 July 2014 when the flight he was travelling on, Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, was shot down over eastern Ukraine by Russian rebels. David Witteveen (born 5 May 1985 in Varese, Italy) is an Austrian footballer. He plays as a striker and is currently playing for SV Lackenbach. Career Witteveen had spells at Austrian sides Red Bull Salzburg and WAC St. Andrä. He played for Salzburg's second string in the Austrian Erste Liga and for St. Andrä in the Regionalliga Mitte. Witteveen signed for Scottish Premier League side Hearts in July 2009. During the week leading up to his signing, the player had participated in friendly matches during their pre-season tour of Germany. He scored his only goal for Hearts in a 2–1 defeat to Rangers, their first home game of the 2009–10 season. Merel Witteveen (born 12 May 1985, in Leiden) is a sailor from the Netherlands. Witteveen represented her country at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Qingdao. With fellow crew member Annemieke Bes and Mandy Mulder as helmsman, Witteveen took Silver medal in the Yngling. Sailing career Witteveen started sailing in 1995 and competes in international level since 1999 where she started in the Optimist. After the European Championship in Athens she switched to the Europe. Witteveen won a silver medal at the 2003 European Junior Championship. Solange Marilú Witteveen (born 6 February 1976) is a retired Argentine high jumper. She won a gold medal at the 1999 Pan American Games. She also represented Argentina at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Career Witteveen was born in Buenos Aires. Her personal best jump is 1.96 metres, achieved in September 1997 in Oristano. This is the current South American record. MC Miker G & DJ Sven were a hip hop duo from the Netherlands. The duo consisted of Lucien Witteveen and Sven van Veen (DJ Sven). The 1980s saw the two launch "Holiday Rap" to international success. The song is a remixed version of Madonna's hit "Holiday" with additional rapping and an interpolation of the chorus of Cliff Richard's " Summer Holiday", produced and mixed by Ben Liebrand.
