''With U'' is the second Japanese mini-album by Big Bang, released on May 28, 2008. Background After experiencing breakthrough success in their home country with the song " Lies" and " Last Farewell", BigBang expanded their endeavors to Japan, hoping to produce similar results. In 2009, American music publishing company Sony/ATV Music Publishing accused YG Entertainment of plagiarism, and listed four songs recorded by several of YG's artists as having been plagiarized. BigBang's single "With U" was included as part of the accusation and deemed to have copied from R&B singer Joe's 2004 single "Ride wit U "Ride wit U" is a song by American singer Joe (singer), Joe from his fifth studio album, ''And Then...'' (2003). The track was produced by Frank Romano, Frankie "Vegas" Romano and co-produced by production duo Carvin & Ivan (Karma Productions), C ...", with Sony stating they would take legal action. Big Bang (; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean boy band formed by YG Entertainment. The group consists of four members: G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, and Daesung. Originally a five-piece band, Seungri retired from the entertainment industry in March 2019. Dubbed the " Kings of K-pop", they helped spread the Korean Wave internationally and are considered one of the most influential acts in K-pop. They are known for their trendsetting musical experimentation, self-production, and stage presence.
