Wisconsin Senate, District 11
The 11th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southern Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Walworth County, the eastern half of Rock County, the southern half of Jefferson County, and part of western Kenosha County. Current elected officials Stephen Nass is the senator representing the 11th district. He was first elected in the 2014 general election, and is now serving in his second term. Before his election as senator, he was a member of the State Assembly from 1991 to 2015. Each Wisconsin State Senate district is composed of three Wisconsin State Assembly districts. The 11th Senate district comprises the 31st, 32nd, and 33rd Assembly districts. The 33rd Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises the southern half of Jefferson County and parts of northeast Rock County. It includes the cities of Fort Atkinson, Jefferson, and Milton, along with the norrthern half of the city of Whitewater and part of the city of Janesville, as well as the villages of Palmyra and Sullivan. Washington County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 136,761. Its county seat is West Bend. The county was created from Wisconsin Territory in 1836 and organized in 1845. It was named after President George Washington. Washington County is part of the Milwaukee- Waukesha-West Allis, WI Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Washington County was created on December 7, 1836, by the Wisconsin Territory Legislature, with Port Washington designated as the county seat. It was run administratively from Milwaukee County until 1840, when an Act of Organization allowed the county self-governance, and the county seat was moved to Grafton, then called Hamburg.
