Wisconsin Badgers Track And Field
The Wisconsin Badgers are the athletic teams representing the University of Wisconsin–Madison (University of Wisconsin). They compete as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level (Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) sub-level), primarily competing in the Big Ten Conference for all sports since the 1896–97 season. The women's ice hockey team competes in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), while the men's crew team compete in the Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (EARC). The athletic director is Chris McIntosh, former professional football player and lineman for the Wisconsin Badger football team. Wisconsin Badgers Crew
The Wisconsin Badgers Crew is the rowing team that represents the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Rowing at the University dates back to 1874. The women's openweight team is an NCAA Division I team. The men's and lightweight women's programs compete at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championship Regatta because the NCAA does not sanction a men's or lightweight women's national championship. The Wisconsin Badgers men's soccer team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of University of Wisconsin–Madison in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. The team is a member of the Big Ten Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Wisconsin's first men's soccer team was fielded in 1977. The Wisconsin Badgers women's ice hockey team is the hockey team that represents the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. History On October 8, 1999, the Bulldogs played the Wisconsin Badgers in the first ever Women's WCHA conference game at the Kohl Center in Madison, WI. It was the highest attended game of the season (3,892) and resulted in an 8–1 defeat of the Badgers. In 2006, the Wisconsin Badgers became the first team outside the state of Minnesota to win the Women's Frozen Four championship. The Wisconsin Badgers football program represents the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the sport of American football. Henry Vilas Zoo
Henry Vilas Zoo is a public zoo in Madison, Wisconsin, United States, that is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Owned by Dane County, the zoo charges no admission or parking fees. It receives over 750,000 visitors annually. History In 1904, the city received of land from William and Anna Vilas under the conditions that it be used "for the uses and purposes of a public park and pleasure ground".
