The 44th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southern Wisconsin, the district comprises most of the city of Janesville, Wisconsin, Janesville, in central Rock County, Wisconsin, Rock County. It contains the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater at Rock County campus and the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport. The district is represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Sue Conley (politician), Sue Conley, since January 2021. The 45th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southern Wisconsin, the district comprises most of eastern and central Green County and western and southwestern Rock County. It includes the most of the city of Beloit, as well as the cities of Evansville and Brodhead and the villages of Albany, Monticello, and Orfordville. It also contains Beloit College. Debra Ann "Deb" Kolste (''née'' Babl; born June 20, 1953) is an American business owner and politician. A Democrat, she was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2013 to 2021, representing the Janesville-based 44th assembly district. Early life and career Debra Kolste was born in the small city of O'Neill, Nebraska. She was co-valedictorian on her graduation from Kimball County High School. She went on to study at the University of Nebraska and received her bachelor's degree in medical technology in 1975. She and her husband, Rex, a medical doctor, moved to Colby, Kansas, where they started a medical clinic. In 1984, they purchased a grain farm in Colby, which Kolste still owns and operates. In 1994, they sold their clinic in Colby and moved to Janesville, Wisconsin, where they both were employed by Mercy Health. Eau Claire County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 105,710. Its county seat is Eau Claire. The county took its name from the Eau Claire River. Eau Claire (; ) (French for "clear water") is a city mostly located in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, of which it is the county seat, and with a small portion in Chippewa County, Wisconsin. Clinton is a town in Rock County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 2,190 at the 2000 census. The Village of Clinton is located in the town, though it is politically independent. The unincorporated community of Bergen is located in the town. Delmar E. DeLong (June 7, 1931 – June 30, 1999) was an American lawyer, Wisconsin State Representative and farmer. Born in Beloit, Wisconsin, DeLong served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He received his bachelor's degree and law degrees from University of Wisconsin–Madison. He practiced law, was a farmer, and in the feed and grain business.
