The 6th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Chilton, Wisconsin
Chilton is a city in and county seat of Calumet County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 4,080 at the 2020 census. The city is located partially within the Town of Chilton. History The first residents of Chilton were African-American former slave Moses Stanton and his Native-American wife, Catherine, who arrived in January 1845. The city formed around his saw mill and a grist mill a few years later. The village was originally called Stantonville. John Marygold bought the place in 1852 and called it "Chilington," referring to Chillington Hall in England. He sent a verbal message to have the name change recorded in Stockbridge, then the county seat. Because the middle ''ing'' in the name was accidentally omitted, the municipality was recorded as Chilton. Waukechon is a town in Shawano County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 928 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Lunds is located in the town. Its Menominee name is ''Wākecānāpāēw'', meaning "crooked beak man", a reference to the Thunderbird Clan of the Ho-Chunk. Rosemary Hinkfuss
Rosemary T. Hinkfuss ('' née'' Walsh; September 30, 1931March 2, 2016) was a former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and a member of the Green Bay Packers Board of Directors. Biography Hinkfuss was born Rosemary T. Walsh on September 30, 1931, in Lima, Ohio, to William and Marie Walsh. She later graduated from Cardinal Stritch University. Hinkfuss served on the board of directors for Premontre High School, Girl Scouts of the USA, and the Green Bay Packers. She was the first woman ever to serve on the Packers' board of directors. She was married to William Hinkfuss in 1957; they had six children together. Hinkfuss died on March 2, 2016, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Gus Menos
Gus Menos (December 5, 1920 – February 14, 1990) was an American politician and jeweler from Wisconsin. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Menos graduated from Lincoln High School and served in the United States Army Air Forces. He worked as a metal finisher and in turbine assembly in a factory, and in air-conditioning service; and was a "lifetime member" of the United Auto Workers union. Menos was a Gemological Institute of America-certified gem appraiser, and owned a jewelry and carpet business.
