Wisconsin's 53rd Assembly District
The 53rd Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district comprises most of the southern half of Winnebago County, Wisconsin, Winnebago County and parts of central Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, Fond du Lac County, and includes city of Waupun, Wisconsin, Waupun, which extends into Dodge County, Wisconsin, Dodge County. The district also contains the city of Omro, Wisconsin, Omro and part of the city of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Oshkosh, as well as the villages of North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, North Fond du Lac, Rosendale, Wisconsin, Rosendale, and Winneconne, Wisconsin, Winneconne. Ozaukee County, Wisconsin
Ozaukee County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 91,503. Its county seat is Port Washington, making it one of three Wisconsin counties on Lake Michigan not to have a county seat with the same name. Ozaukee County is included in the Milwaukee– Waukesha–West Allis, WI Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2000 Census, Ozaukee County had the second-lowest poverty rate of any county in the United States, at 2.6%. In terms of per capita income, it is the 25th-wealthiest county in the country. Bolstered by low crime rates and school districts with high graduation rates, ''Forbes'' magazine ranked Ozaukee County #2 on its list of "America's Best Places To Raise A Family" in June 2008. Brown County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 268,740, making it the fourth-most populous county in Wisconsin. The county seat is Green Bay, making it one of three Wisconsin counties on Lake Michigan not to have a county seat with the same name. Pittsfield is a town in Brown County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 2,608 at the 2010 census. Mary Panzer
Mary E. Panzer (September 19, 1951) is an American banker and politician. A Republican, she served 25 years in the Wisconsin Legislature, including 11 years in the Wisconsin State Senate (1993–2005) and 14 years in the State Assembly (1980–1993). Her father, Frank E. Panzer, was also a member of the Wisconsin State Senate. Biography Born in Waupun, Wisconsin, Panzer was educated at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, after which she was a banker and worked in the Wisconsin State Legislature. In 1980, Panzer was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in a special election to replace fellow Republican James R. Lewis (who had been convicted of perjury). The county was created from Wisconsin Territory in 1836 and organized in 1845. It was named after President George Washington. West Bend, Wisconsin
West Bend is the county seat of Washington County, Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 31,752. History Early history and settlement Northeastern Washington County's earliest known inhabitants were pre-Columbian Mound Builders, who constructed effigy mounds in the area sometime between 650 CE and 1300 CE. They were semi-nomadic and survived by hunting, fishing, and gathering wild plants. They made pottery and constructed tools from bone, wood, stone, and occasionally copper. They built effigy mounds shaped like mammals, reptiles, birds and other creatures, both real and mythical, as well as conical, oval, and linear mounds, some of which contain human burials. The 54th Assembly District of the Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district covers most of the city of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in eastern Winnebago County. It also contains landmarks such as the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh campus, the Oshkosh campus of the Fox Valley Technical College, and the Oshkosh Corporation headquarters.
