Edward Winterhalder (born 1955) is an American author who has written more than forty books about motorcycle clubs and outlaw biker culture published in the English, French, German and Spanish languages; a television producer who has created programs about motorcycle clubs and the outlaw biker lifestyle for networks and broadcasters worldwide; a singer, songwriter, musician and record producer; and screenwriter. Early life Winterhalder was born in New England, grew up in southern Connecticut, and moved to Oklahoma in 1975 after serving in the US Army. In Oklahoma he joined the Rogues Motorcycle Club and was a close associate of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle club from 1979 to 1997, and a high-ranking member of the Bandidos from 1997 to 2003. Winterhalder and Hofmeier goes back to ''Winterhalder Uhrenfabrik'' in the Black Forest, a clock manufacturer from 1810. It was further manifested from 1850 under the new name ''Winterhalder & Hofmeier''. In 1869 the company was renamed ''M. Winterhalder & Hofmeier, Friedenweiler und Schwaerzenbach, in Neustadt''. From 1908 the new name was ''M. Winterhalder & Hofmeier GmbH''. The company was part of the Black Forest clockmaker industry as its factory was located in Titisee-Neustadt and surroundings and as it subscribed to high quality standards. The company existed until 1933. It is regarded as one of the finest Victorian clockmakers of the time. Johann Michael Winterhalder (7 September 1706, Vöhrenbach – 12 May 1759, Vöhrenbach) was a German artist in the Baroque style; from the of sculptors. Life and work He was one of three sons born to the sculptor, . His training took place in his father's workshop, as it did for his older brothers, Anton (1699–1758) and Josef. In 1725, together with one of his father's apprentices, , he set out on his Journeyman years. After spending some time in Gengenbach with his cousin, , who was ill, they continued through Colmar, Augsburg and Munich, to Prague and Vienna. In Vienna he made contact with the sculptor, Georg Raphael Donner, which would be significant to his career. From 1728 to 1730, he was a student at the Academy of Fine Arts; following Josef, who had attended the Academy the two years prior. Josef Winterhalder the Elder (10 January 1702, Vöhrenbach – 25 December 1769, Vienna) was a German sculptor. His brothers, Anton (1699–1758) and Johann, also became sculptors. Biography After an apprenticeship with his father, the sculptor , he spent a brief time in Munich then, from 1728 to 1730, completed his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, where he was taught by Paul Troger, among others. He then went to Dresden, to study the works of Balthasar Permoser. Between 1730 and 1732, he and his brothers worked at the Hradisko Monastery and at the pilgrimage church in Svatý Kopeček (today part of Olomouc). He and Anton remained in Moravia when Johann returned home in 1733. In 1736, he was one of three sculptors chosen to create the decorations on the ramp of the Dominican church in Brno.
