Tamar Braxton
Tamar Estine Braxton (born March 17, 1977) is an American singer and television personality. Braxton began her career in 1990 as a founding member of The Braxtons, an R&B singing group formed with her sisters. The Braxtons released their debut album, ''So Many Ways'', as a trio in 1996, and disbanded shortly afterward. In 2000, she released her debut self-titled album through DreamWorks Records. Following a thirteen-year break, Braxton released her second studio album, '' Love and War'' (2013), through Epic Records, which reached the number two position on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. She later released her fourth and fifth albums, ''Calling All Lovers'' (2015) and ''Bluebird of Happiness'' (2017), respectively. Trina Evette Braxton-Scales (born December 3, 1974) is an American singer and reality television personality. She is the younger sister of R&B singing icon Toni Braxton. Trina had her first big break in music in 1992 as a founding member of the R&B group The Braxtons, formed with her sisters. "Merry Christmas, Darling" is a Christmas song by the Carpenters (music by Richard Carpenter, lyrics by Frank Pooler), and originally recorded in 1970. It was first available on a 7-inch single that year (A&M Records 1236), and was later re-issued in 1974 (A&M 1648) and again in 1977 (A&M 1991). The single went to number one on '' Billboard's'' Christmas singles chart in 1970 (and did so again in 1971 and 1973) and peaked at number 41 in '' Cashbox''. In 1978, the Carpenters issued their '' Christmas Portrait'' album, which contained a new version of "Merry Christmas Darling". The original 1970 mix continued to be used for all single releases, however. "The Little Drummer Boy" (originally known as "Carol of the Drum") is a popular Christmas song written by American composer Katherine Kennicott Davis in 1941.
