Winston Abraham
Winston Abraham (born 29 September 1974) is a former Australian rules footballer. During his Australian Football League, AFL career he played as a Half-forward line, half forward. Early career Abraham played in the Western Australian Sunday Football League Western Australia, Sunday Football League for Thornlie and Kelmscott. He then played for Perth in the West Australian Football League, playing only 8 games before being recruited by the Fremantle Football Club AFL He was a member of the Fremantle Football Club, Fremantle Dockers inaugural squad and played in the Round 1 match against the Richmond Tigers at the MCG. He was noted for his pace and ability to kick freak goals. In 1998 he moved to the Kangaroos FC, Kangaroos, winning the Mark of the Year in his first season, and played in their 1999 AFL season, 1999 Premiership side. Richmond Tigers
The Richmond Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is an Australian rules football team playing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Between its inception in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond in 1885 and 1907, the club competed in the Victorian Football Association (VFA), winning two premierships. Richmond joined the Victorian Football League (now known as the AFL) in 1908 and has since won 13 premierships, most recently in 2020. Richmond's headquarters and training facilities are located at its original home ground, the Punt Road Oval, which sits adjacent to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), the club's playing home since 1965. Richmond traditionally wears a black guernsey with a yellow sash. The club song, " We're From Tigerland", is well known for its "yellow and black" refrain. Before the season, the Port Adelaide Football Club (SANFL) was admitted to the league, increasing the South Australian membership to two clubs. The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of a pair of cruciate ligaments (the other being the posterior cruciate ligament) in the human knee. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation. In the quadruped stifle joint (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is also referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament. The term cruciate translates to cross. James Hird
James Albert Hird (born 4 February 1973) is a former professional Australian rules football player and past senior coach of the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Hird played as a midfielder and half-forward, but he was often given free rein by then-Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy to play wherever he thought necessary. Hird was a highly decorated footballer, with accolades including the 1996 Brownlow Medal and membership of the Australian Football Hall of Fame. In 2008, he was listed by journalist Mike Sheahan as the 20th greatest player of all time in the AFL-commissioned book ''The Australian Game of Football''. Hird was appointed as the coach of the Essendon Football Club in September 2010.
