Winnie Kiap
Winnie Anna Kiap (born 1948) is a Papua New Guinean former diplomat who served as the Papua New Guinea High Commissioner to the United Kingdom with accreditation to Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, South Africa, and Zimbabwe from 2011 to 2022. In 2022, she was a nominated as a candidate for Governor-General of Papua New Guinea. In 2018, she was the recipient of the Diplomat of the Year Award for outstanding contribution to the Commonwealth. Early life Kiap is from Baluan Island in Manus Province. She attended Mount St Marys College, Katoomba and St Vincent's College, Potts Point. She graduated from the University of Queensland in Australia. Baluan Island
Baluan Island (formerly known as Saint Patrick Island) is the southernmost island of the Admiralty Islands group which makes up the majority of Manus Province in Papua New Guinea. It belongs to the Pam Islands, an island subgroup to the south of Lou Island. It is formed from an extinct volcano, also named Baluan. Geography Baluan is formed by a Pleistocene stratovolcano with a large summit crater and several flank vents, some of which might be from the Holocene age. Baluan has erupted basaltic rock rather than rhyolitic rocks like its neighbours. Several small islands consisting of cone remnants are located within of the north coast. Geothermal activity is observed in coastal areas. Volcanic activity is evident from the hot water springs which emerge close to the shore which are mostly covered by the tide. Mount St Marys College and Convent is a heritage-listed former community arts centre, school and convent at 10-14 Civic Place, Katoomba, in the City of Blue Mountains local government area of New South Wales, Australia. International Coffee Organization
The International Coffee Organization (ICO) was set up in 1963 in London, under the auspices of the United Nations (UN) due to the economic importance of coffee. It administers the International Coffee Agreement (ICA), an important instrument for development cooperation. It was a result of the five-year International Coffee Agreement signed in 1962 at the UN in New York City and renegotiated in 1968, 1976, 1983, 1994 and 2007 at the ICO in London. Enny Moaitz
Enny Moaitz (born 1940) is a Papua New Guinean politician. She was Premier of Morobe Province from 1987 to 1988, becoming Papua New Guinea's first and only woman Premier under their former system of decentralised provincial government. She was also a member of the Tutumang, the provincial assembly, from 1980 to 1991. Biography Moaitz was born in Morobe, and was educated at the Bula Lutheran Girls' Primary School and a Lutheran teachers' college at Goroka. She was a teacher at Balob and Port Moresby, taking night classes in the latter to complete her secondary education.
