Wingate University is a Private university, private Baptist university with campuses in Wingate, North Carolina, Wingate, Charlotte, North Carolina, Charlotte, and Hendersonville, North Carolina, Hendersonville, North Carolina. Kenwin Cummings Jr. (born July 23, 1986) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League for the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Wingate University. Early years Cummings attended Purnell Swett High School. He accepted a football scholarship from Wingate University, where he played as a defensive lineman. As a junior, he posted 66 tackles (24 solo), 9 sacks, 17.5 tackles-for-loss, 3 forced fumbles and 15 quarterback pressures. As a senior, he made 71 tackles (fifth in school history). John Bowman (Canadian Football)
John Bowman (born July 19, 1982) is the defensive line coach for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is also a former professional Canadian football defensive end who played for 14 seasons with the Montreal Alouettes. He is a two-time Grey Cup champion after winning in 2009 and 2010 and was named a CFL All-Star twice and a Divisional All-Star nine times. Sean Barnette (born June 25, 1986) is an American professional basketball player who plays for Fribourg Olympic Basket of the Swiss Basketball League. He spent the 2019–20 season with CSM Oradea of the Romanian Basketball League, averaging 10.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game before season was suspended.
