Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim
Wing Commander (retired) Abdullahi Ibrahim was the first Military Administrator of Nasarawa State, Nigeria between August 1996 and August 1998 after the state was created from part of Plateau State during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. He established the state's executive council and built the Government House and the state secretariat. In August 1997 he announced that the federal government was going to review decisions of local government election appeal tribunals throughout the country, since there was evidence of corrupt malpractices in these tribunals. Habibu Idris Shuaibu
Habibu Idris Shuaibu (born 21 November 1954) was military administrator of Niger State in Nigeria from August 1998 to May 1999, when he handed over control to the democratically elected Abdulkadir Kure. Habibu Shuaibu was an aide to General Ibrahim Babangida. In 1989, while at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas he wrote an unpublished thesis titled "Military Involvement in Politics in Nigeria: The Effect on Nigerian Army". Speaking as one of those who backed General Babangida's putsch on August 27, 1985, he claimed that the reason for the coup against Muhammadu Buhari was that Buhari did not distribute positions to junior officers. Bala Mande
Colonel Bala Mohammed Mande is a former Military Administrator of Nasarawa State. He was later appointed Minister of Environment in the Cabinet of President Olusegun Obasanjo. Early career Bala Mande hails from Zamfara State. He was appointed Military Administrator of Nasarawa State from June 1998 to May 1999 during the transitional regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar, handing over to the elected Governor Abdullahi Adamu on the return to democracy. He was a harsh critic of governor Ahmad Rufai Sani for his implementation of Sharia law in the 2000–2003 period, which he felt was being used to punish political opponents, with the spoils going to Sani's ANPP supporters. Nasarawa State
Nasarawa State is a state in the North Central region of Nigeria, bordered to the east by the states of Taraba and Plateau, to the north by Kaduna State, to the south by the states of Kogi and Benue, and to the west by the Federal Capital Territory. Sani Abacha
Sani Abacha (20 September 1943 – 8 June 1998) was a Nigerian military officer and politician who ruled as the military head of state of Nigeria from 1993 until his death in 1998. He seized power on 17 November 1993 in the last successful coup d'etat in the military history of Nigeria. He was the Chief of Army Staff between 1985 to 1990; Chief of Defence Staff between 1990 to 1993; and Minister of Defence. Abacha became the first Nigerian Army officer to attain the rank of a full military general without skipping a single rank.
