Wim Schröder
Wilhelmus Gerardus "Wim" Schröder (born 17 April 1971, in Almelo) is a Dutch show jumping equestrian. Wim Schröder represented the Netherlands at the 2004 Summer Olympics where he took part in the individual jumping competition and the show jumping team event, alongside Gerco Schröder, Leopold van Asten and Gert-Jan Bruggink. As an individual driving on his horse "Montreal", Schröder reached the final, where he ended up on the 28th position. With the Dutch show jumping team he finished fourth with a total of 24 penalty points. Almelo
Almelo () is a municipality and a city in the eastern Netherlands. The main population centres in the town are Aadorp, Almelo, Mariaparochie, and Bornerbroek. Almelo has about 72,000 inhabitants in the middle of the rolling countryside of Twente, with the industrial centres of Enschede and Hengelo as close neighbours but also with tourist towns like Ootmarsum, Delden and Markelo only a bicycle ride away. Almelo received city rights in 1394. Within the city limits lies the castle of the Counts of Almelo. Gerco Bernardus Schröder (born 28 July 1978, in Tubbergen) is a Dutch show jumping equestrian. He currently ranks third on the FEI Rolex Ranking List. Gerco Schröder represented the Netherlands at the 2004 Summer Olympics where he took part in the individual jumping competition and the show jumping team event alongside Wim Schröder, Leopold van Asten and Gert-Jan Bruggink. As an individual driving on his horse 'Monaco', Schröder was eliminated in the qualification round, ending up on the 48th position.
