Wilson River (Oregon)
The Wilson River, about long, flows from the Northern Oregon Coast Range to Tillamook Bay in the U.S. state of Oregon. Formed by the confluence of its Devil's Lake Fork and its South Fork, it runs generally west through the Tillamook State Forest to its mouth near the city of Tillamook. The maps include river mile (RM) markers from the river's mouth to its source near Elk Creek Campground. It is one of five rivers—the Tillamook, the Trask, the Wilson, the Kilchis, and the Miami—that flow into the bay. Course The river rises in the Tillamook State Forest in the mountains of northeastern Tillamook County. The river's North Fork rises in northern Tillamook County and flows south. Its South Fork rises in eastern Tillamook County and western Washington County and flows west to merge with Devils Lake Fork. Wilson River (Queensland)
The Wilson River, part of the Lake Eyre Basin, is an ephemeral river located in the Channel Country in western Queensland, Australia. The Wilson River rises on the slopes of the Grey Range and flows generally northwest through the Nockanoora (or Noccundra) waterhole and is joined by two minor tributaries before reaching its confluence with the Cooper Creek at what was known as Depot Camp (Camp 63). The river descends over its course. It is believed that Burke and Wills first found water on the Macleay Plains and crossed Cooper Creek near its junction with the Wilson River, on 11 November 1860. Wilson River (Western Australia)
The Wilson River is a river in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. The headwaters of the river rise in the Durack Range below Kangaroo Hill and near Bedford Downs, then flow in a north-easterly direction. The river flows past Nellie Range, through Devils Elbow and Gordons Gorge and through the O'Donnell Range. The river then changes direction to the south-east and discharges into the Bow River approximately north of Warmun adjacent to the Great Northern Highway. Willson River, South Australia
Willson River is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located on the Dudley Peninsula on Kangaroo Island overlooking the body of water known in Australia as the Southern Ocean and by international authorities as the Great Australian Bight. It is located about south of the state capital of Adelaide and about south-west of the town centre of Penneshaw. Its boundaries were created in March 2002 while its name was derived from the Willson River, a river which flows through the locality and which itself was named in 1885 after the Willson family who have resided in what is now the locality prior to 1885 and as recently as 1996. The main land uses within the locality are agriculture and conservation.
