Dennis Wilshaw
Dennis James Wilshaw (11 March 1926 – 10 May 2004) was an English international footballer. A forward, he scored 173 goals in 380 appearances in the Football League, and also scored ten goals in twelve appearances for the England national team (including one goal in the 1954 FIFA World Cup and four goals against Scotland at Wembley). He spent 13 years with Wolverhampton Wanderers from 1944 to 1957, where he won the First Division title in 1953–54. He spent 1946 to 1948 on loan at Walsall, and ended his career after playing for Stoke City between 1957 and 1961. Early and personal life Dennis James Wilshaw was born on 11 March 1926 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire to John Thomas, a light lorry driver, and Daisy (née Mollart). He married Mary Chester in 1948. Edward Wilshaw
Sir Edward Wilshaw (3 June 1879 – 3 March 1968) was a British businessman, the chairman of Cable & Wireless Communications from 1936 to 1947. Career Wilshaw began his career as an Eastern Telegraph Company apprentice in 1894. He became Chairman of the company in 1936 and was knighted in 1939. During World War II, Wilshaw employed his friend John Logie Baird to work on developing high-speed facsimile transmission. After the war, the new Labour government of Clement Attlee nationalised the company in 1947, and Sir Edward became president of the new company. He later wrote a memoir of his career in the telecommunications industry. Family Wilshaw was born in 1879 in Liverpool and died at his London home on 3 March 1968, aged 88. He married Myn Moar in 1912, and they had two daughters. In 1944, his daughter Anne married Flying Officer C.R. Michael Wilshaw
Sir Michael Wilshaw (born 3 August 1946) was the Chief Inspector of Schools In England and head of Ofsted from 2012 until 2016. He is the former Headmaster and now executive principal of Jewish Free School. Career The son of a postman, Wilshaw grew up in a Roman Catholic household in south London in the 1950s. He went to Clapham College, a south London grammar school, and then St Mary's teacher training college in Twickenham. He later took a part-time History degree at Birkbeck College while teaching in various London schools. At the age of 39 he was appointed head teacher of St Bonaventure's Catholic School, also known informally as St. Bon's, in Forest Gate, London. Peter Wilshaw
Peter James Wilshaw (born 15 July 1987) is an English cricketer. Wilshaw is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium-pace. He was born at Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. Wilshaw represented the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board in a single List A match against Cumberland in the 1st round of the 2003 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy which was played in 2002. He was aged just 15 years. In 2004, he joined Staffordshire, making his Minor Counties Championship debut for the county against Suffolk.
