Diane Buchanan "Dede" Wilsey is a San Francisco socialite, Republican Party donor, and philanthropist. She is the widow and heir of the San Francisco dairy and real estate businessman Al Wilsey, and the Chair Emerita of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Early life and background Wilsey was born Diane Dow Buchanan in 1944. Her father, Wiley T. Buchanan, Jr., was the U.S. ambassador to Luxembourg and Austria and the White House Chief of Protocol during the presidency of Dwight Eisenhower. James Calvin Wilsey
James Calvin Wilsey (July 12, 1957 – December 24, 2018) was an American musician. He played bass with San Francisco punk band the Avengers, but became better known as the lead guitarist for Chris Isaak's band Silvertone. He featured on Isaak's albums '' Silvertone,'' ''Chris Isaak,'' '' Heart Shaped World,'' and ''San Francisco Days'', and is widely remembered for his distinctive guitar tone and technique, being dubbed the "King of Slow" by fans. After leaving Isaak's band, Wilsey pursued various solo projects while struggling with drug addiction and, toward the end of his life, periods of homelessness. He died from multiple organ failure related to hepatitis and drug use. Musical style Wilsey's 1965 Fender Stratocaster and use of reverb, delay and gentle vibrato gave a distinctive sound to Isaak hits such as "Wicked Game" (the opening two-note riff, in his own words, "crystallizes Wilsey's approach") and "Blue Hotel". Jay Wilsey (February 6, 1896 – October 25, 1961) was an American film actor (born Wilbert Jay Wilsey). He appeared in nearly 100 films between 1924 and 1944. He starred in a series of very low-budget westerns in the 1920s and 1930s, billed as Buffalo Bill Jr. Born in St. Francisville, Missouri, Wilsey rode in Wild West shows and rodeos before he became an actor. His first film was ''Rarin' to Go'' (1924). Wilsey's career as an actor diminished as sound films increased in popularity, causing him to become a stunt performer. A January 29, 1940, newspaper article reported that he had performed 6,000 stunts up to that time. Wilsey was married to actress Jeanette Boutelle. John Wilsey
General Sir John Finlay Willasey Wilsey (18 February 1939 – 25 September 2019) was a British Army officer who served as Commander-in-Chief, Land Forces. Sea Hags was an American hard rock band from San Francisco, California, United States. Their style has primarily been referred to as motorcycle rock and sleaze metal. History Sea Hags formed in San Francisco in 1985 by frontman Ron Yocom, and bassist Chris Schlosshardt. During the three years before they had the chance to record a major label debut album, they often worked two jobs to keep their dreams of a music career alive. RHS Garden Wisley is a garden run by the Royal Horticultural Society in Wisley, Surrey, south of London.
