Wilmont Perry
Wilmont Darnell Perry (born February 25, 1975) is a professional American football player who currently plays for the Cape Fear Heroes. Perry was drafted in the fifth round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He also played running back for two seasons for the New Orleans Saints in 1998 and 1999. He played college football from 1994 to 1998 at Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina. He was nominated to the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association All-Conference teams in his junior and senior seasons. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. The primary roles of a running back are to receive American football plays#Offensive terminology, handoffs from the quarterback to Rush (American football)#Offense, rush the ball, to line up as a receiver to catch the ball, and Blocking (American football), block. The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. CIAA institutions mostly consist of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The twelve member institutions reside primarily along the central portion of the East Coast of the United States, in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
