Wilmar Valdez
Wilmar Valdez (born 10 July 1965) is a Uruguayan football executive who served as interim President of CONMEBOL between 11 December 2015 and 26 January 2016. He took up the position after the resignation of Juan Ángel Napout which was related to the 2015 FIFA corruption case. Between 2014 and 2018 Valdez served as president of the Uruguayan Football Association. He is also a member of the FIFA Council. Career Valdez was born in Tala on 10 July 1965. During his time as a student in Montevideo he became a fan of the football club Rentistas. At age 21 Valdez started working for the club. His relationship with the club was further strengthened when his brother started playing there. Valdez also worked as a sports journalist for a while. At Rentistas he served in different functions, including terms as Secretary General and President for four years. Tala is a town in the north of the Canelones Department of southern Uruguay. Tala is also the name of the municipality to which the city belongs. Sergio Elías Jadue Jadue ( La Calera, 26 April 1979) is the former president of the National Association of Professional Football of Chile (ANFP) and second vice president of the Conmebol. He pleaded guilty on the 2015 FIFA corruption case. In May 2016, Jadue was banned for life by the FIFA Ethics Committee. Biography He was born as Sergio Cortés Jadue in the commune of La Calera in 1979. He studied in the Rafael Ariztía Institute of Quillota, and finished his high school in the Colegio Paideia. Then, he studied in three private universities; Adolfo Ibáñez, Del Mar and De Las Américas, and he completed pregraduate studies in Law but never got the Law degree. Rafael Esquivel Melo (born 1946/1947) is a Venezuelan former football administrator. He was a member of CONMEBOL executive committee and president of the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF). Career and arrest Esquivel was president of the Venezuelan Football Federation from 1988 to 2015. Esquivel was arrested in May 2015 in Switzerland to face corruption charges in the United States.
