Willy Trepp
Willy Trepp (born 23 December 1938) is a retired Swiss track cyclist. He won two silver and one bronze medals in the individual pursuit at the world championships of 1959–1961, behind Rudi Altig. He also rode in the 1960 Tour de France. Trepp was the cousin of Ice Hockey player Hans-Martin Trepp Hans-Martin Trepp (9 November 1922 – 17 August 1970) was an ice hockey player for EHC Arosa and the Swiss national team where he scored 83 goals in 94 matches. Vicosoprano
Vicosoprano is a former municipality in the district of Maloja in the Swiss canton of Graubünden and is the largest village in the Val Bregaglia. It's now part of the municipality of Bregaglia. History Vicosoprano is first mentioned in 1096 as ''Vicus Supranus''. Geography Vicosoprano has an area, , of . Of this area, 8.6% is used for agricultural purposes, while 25.6% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 1% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (64.7%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers, or mountains). The municipality is located in the Bergell sub-district of the Maloja district. It is the largest municipality of the Bergell sub-district. It consists of the village of Vicosoprano (elev. ) and the hamlets of Roticcio and Pongello. In 1971 the settlement of Casaccia joined Vicosoprano. On 1 January 2010 the municipalities of Bondo, Castasegna, Soglio, Stampa, and Vicosoprano merged into a new municipality, Bregaglia.

UCI Track Cycling World Championships
The UCI Track Cycling World Championships are the set of world championship events for the various disciplines and distances in track cycling. They are regulated by the Union Cycliste Internationale. Before 1900, they were administered by the UCI's predecessor, the International Cycling Association (ICA). Current events include: time trial, keirin, individual pursuit, team pursuit, points race, scratch race, sprint, team sprint, omnium and madison. Women's events are generally shorter than men's. Individual Pursuit
The individual pursuit is a track cycling event where two cyclists begin the race from a stationary position on opposite sides of the track. It is held at over for men and for women. The riders start at the same time and set off to complete the race distance in the fastest time. They ride on the pursuit line at the bottom of the track to find the fastest line, with each rider trying to catch the other who started on the other side. If the catch is achieved, the successful pursuer is the winner. However, they can continue the rest of the race distance to set the fastest time in a qualifying race or a record in a final. Qualification and race format The first round of the competition at major events is the qualifying round. This still involves two riders on the track at the same time but they are not directly competing against each other but attempting to set the fastest time to progress in the competition. Rudi Altig
Rudi Altig (; 18 March 1937 – 11 June 2016) was a German professional track and road racing cyclist who won the 1962 Vuelta a España and the world championship in 1966. After his retirement from sports he worked as a television commentator. The 1960 Tour de France was the 47th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's Grand Tours. It took place between 26 June and 17 July, with 21 stages covering a distance of . The race featured 128 riders, of which 81 finished. Because Jacques Anquetil was absent after winning the 1960 Giro d'Italia, Roger Rivière became the main favourite.
