Willy's En Marjetten
''Willy's en Marjetten'' is a Flemish comedy TV series created by Neveneffecten and Bart De Pauw. The first season aired on Eén in 2006. The program was produced by Woestijnvis. Each episode takes the form of a broadcast made by a fictional pirate television station from a fictional small-minded village in East Flanders, staffed by a small number of VJs who introduce various sketches disguised as news or human interest reports. The style of both the program and its official website is deliberately amateurish. Most episodes involve a framing story which intertwines with certain sketches. Many characters are recurring and feature several catchphrases. The series sometimes includes sketches about current news, such as a baby found at a railway station, but also reacted to some negative critique, not taking itself too seriously. Woestijnvis (literally: ''Desert Fish'') is an independent Flemish television production company based in Vilvoorde. History The name of the company refers to a famous mistake of a quiz-candidate in the Flemish version of Wheel of Fortune: the remaining letters were W . . ST . . NV . S and the participant answered "WOESTIJNVIS" (''Desert Fish''), the correct answer was "WOESTIJNVOS" (''Desert Fox''). The company was founded in 1997 by Jan Huyse, Wouter Vandenhaute and Erik Watté in close collaboration with Mark Uytterhoeven. The company rose to fame with its series '' The Mole'', variants of which were recorded and broadcast in various countries. Woestijnvis is now part of the holding which owns the Belgian TV-stations VIER and VIJF. Canvas is a Belgian television channel of the Flemish public broadcasting organisation Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie (VRT). Specialising in both original and adaptations from western Europe and North America, the channel offers: in-depth news and current affairs, non-mainstream entertainment, documentaries, arthouse films, other cultural programming, and most recently additional children's programming. Hypothermia is defined as a body core temperature below in humans. Symptoms depend on the temperature. In mild hypothermia, there is shivering and mental confusion.
