Willie Simmons (American Football)
Willie Simmons (born October 12, 1980) is an American college football coach who is the running backs coach at Duke University. He was most recently the head coach at Florida A&M Rattlers football, Florida A&M from 2018 to 2023. Simmons was previously the head coach at Prairie View A&M Panthers football, Prairie View A&M from 2014 to 2017. He has also served as offensive coordinator of the Alcorn State Braves football, Alcorn State Braves as well as the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders football teams. Willie Junior Simmons is an Alabama resident sentenced to life without parole for first-degree robbery in 1982 for wrestling a man to the ground to steal his wallet, which contained $9. Simmons, who had three prior nonviolent convictions, was prosecuted as a habitual offender under Alabama's Habitual Felony Offender Act (HFOA) and has been imprisoned at Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, Alabama, since 1982. In the summer of 2021 Willie Simmons was moved to Fountain Correctional Facility which is also located in Atmore, Alabama. Simmons was born in 1957 and grew up poor in Enterprise, Alabama. The Bermuda national football team represents Bermuda in international football, and is controlled by the Bermuda Football Association, which is a member of the CONCACAF. History 1964–1992 Bermuda played their first international match on 10 August, 1964, against Iceland in Reykjavik, ending in a narrow victory to the Icelanders, 4–3. Some years later, Bermuda played in the 1967 Pan American Games, reaching the final, before being defeated by Mexico, 4–0. The 1988 NBL Finals was the championship series of the 1988 season of Australia's National Basketball League (NBL) and the conclusion of the season's playoffs. The Canberra Cannons defeated the North Melbourne Giants in three games (2-1) for their third NBL championship. Format The 1988 National Basketball League Finals started on 14 July and concluded on 7 August. The playoffs consisted of two knockout Quarter finals, two best of three Semi-finals and the best of three game Grand Final series. As the two top teams at the end of the regular season, the Adelaide 36ers and North Melbourne Giants both qualified for home court advantage during the Semi-finals. Robert Simmons House
Robert Simmons House, also known as the Willie Simmons House, is a historic home located on Saint Helena Island near Frogmore, Beaufort County, South Carolina. The original section was built about 1910 by farmer Robert Simmons, and subsequently expanded. It is a double pen house type on metal piers, with a full-width shed roof porch supported by wood posts.
