Willie Mercer
William Mercer (8 November 1874 – 9 September 1932) was a Scottish football outside left who played in the Scottish League for Cowdenbeath and Hibernian. He also played in the Football League for Glossop. After his retirement as a player, Mercer served Cowdenbeath as trainer and was secretary of junior club Vulcan Rovers. Cowdenbeath
Cowdenbeath (; sco, Coudenbeith) is a town and burgh in west Fife, Scotland. It is north-east of Dunfermline and north of the capital, Edinburgh. The town grew up around the extensive coalfields of the area and became a police burgh in 1890. According to a 2008 estimate, the town has a population of 14,081. Glossop is a market town in the Borough of High Peak, Derbyshire, England. It is located east of Manchester, north-west of Sheffield and north of the county town, Matlock. Glossop lies near Derbyshire's borders with Cheshire, Greater Manchester, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
