Willie Gildea
William Franklyn Gildea (October 1884 – 1949) was a Scottish association football, footballer who played as a centre half. He played for Falkirk F.C., Falkirk in the Scottish Football League, Scottish League, for Bradford City A.F.C., Bradford City and Birmingham City F.C., Birmingham in the English English Football League, Football League, and for Belfast Celtic F.C., Belfast Celtic in the Irish Football League, Irish League. Life and career Gildea was born in October 1884 in Broxburn, in what was then Linlithgowshire. He had two brothers, Peter Gildea, Peter and Harry Gildea, Harry, who also became professional footballers. Gildea played at centre half for Lochgelly St Patrick's.
