Williams Grove Speedway
Williams Grove Speedway is a half-mile automobile dirt racing track located in Mechanicsburg , Pennsylvania, USA. The speedway opened on May 21, 1939, it has been owned by the Hughes family for over 50 years and has hosted many of the most notable national touring series and some of those most prestigious races in the country. The speedway is entering its 81st year of operation, with racing every Friday from March to October and other special events. One of these special events is the $75,000 to win National Open for sprint cars sanctioned by the World of Outlaws racing series held in late September or early October each year. World Of Outlaws
The World of Outlaws (often abbreviated WoO) is an American motorsports sanctioning body. The body sanctions two major national touring series. It is best known for sanctioning the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. These dirt track racing series are owned and operated by World Racing Group. The Sprint Car Series is sponsored by Monster Beverage's NOS Energy Drink and beginning in 2022 the Late Model Series will be sponsored by Case Construction Equipment. Bobby Allen (racing Driver)
Bobby Allen (born December 28, 1943) is an American racecar driver known for racing winged sprint cars. He currently owns Shark Racing, a World of Outlaws sprint car team that fields two cars driven by his son Jacob Allen and his grandson Logan Schuchart. Early life Allen was born to Joe and Jane Allen in Daytona, Florida. His father had driven stock cars with NASCAR during its early years before becoming a pilot and moving the family to Miami. In his teenage years, Allen had dreamed of driving at the Indianapolis 500. Racing career Allen's first racing experience came in Florida at twelve years old in half midgets, and he soon moved up into kart racing. Giovanni Scelzi (born November 28, 2001) is an American racing driver. He currently competes full-time in the World of Outlaws Nos Energy Drink Sprint Car series driving the #18 sprint car for KCP Racing. Racing career Scelzi began his career in the micro-sprint ranks, driving at Plaza Park Raceway. Racing at Lemoore Speedway as a nine-year-old, Scelzi posted 24 wins during that season. At age sixteen, Scelzi moved from his hometown of Fresno, California to Indianapolis, Indiana to be closer to sprint car competition. In September of that year, he became the youngest winner in World of Outlaws history, winning a preliminary event at the National Open at Williams Grove Speedway in Pennsylvania. Kraig Kinser (born October 8, 1984) is an American professional racing driver. He was previously a developmental driver for MB2 Motorsports/Ginn Racing, and while with them, competed in both the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the ARCA Re/Max Series between 2005 and 2007. Doug Wolfgang (born July 26, 1952 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota) is a retired American racing driver.
