William Wallinder
William Wallinder (born 28 July 2002) is a Swedish ice hockey defenceman currently playing for Rögle BK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He was selected 32nd overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Sollefteå
Sollefteå () is a locality and the seat of Sollefteå Municipality in Västernorrland County, Sweden with 8,562 inhabitants in 2010. The earliest written account on Sollefteå is found in a script dating back to 1270. During this time the name of the village was given as De Solatum - a name that can be interpreted as a composition of ''Sol'' (sun) and ''at'' (property) i.e. literally The sunlit region. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). The Hlinka Gretzky Cup is an annual international under-18 ice hockey tournament administered by Hockey Canada, the Czech Ice Hockey Association, and the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation. Held since 1991, it has been contested under various titles and in various countries, including Japan, Mexico, and Canada. From 1997 through 2017, hosting duties for the event alternated between, and were later split between, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup was an under-18 international ice hockey tournament that was held in Piešťany, Slovakia and Břeclav, Czech Republic from 5 to 10 August 2019 at Alcaplast Arena in Břeclav and Easton Arena in Piešťany. 2021–22 SHL Season
The 2021–22 SHL season was the 47th season of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). The regular season began on 11 September 2021 and ended on 15 March 2022, it was then followed by the playoffs and the relegation playoffs. The league consisted of 14 teams; Timrå IK returned to the SHL after two seasons in HockeyAllsvenskan, having won the 2020–21 HockeyAllsvenskan. Like the previous season, the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden has resulted in many games being postponed, resulting in an uneven schedule. The series consisted of 14 teams playing a regular season in which each team played each other team four times, twice at home and twice away. This is followed by a series of promotion and relegation tournaments, with the teams finishing first through tenth participating in promotion playoffs, and the teams finishing 13th and 14th forced to requalify to avoid relegation to the Hockeyettan. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic no promotion took place after the previous season; Karlskrona HK were however relegated after being denied their mandatory elite license and Väsby IK HK were promoted in their place. The series consisted of 14 teams playing a regular season in which each team played each other team four times, twice at home and twice away. This was followed by a series of promotion and relegation tournaments, with the teams finishing first through eight participating in promotion playoffs, and the teams finishing 13th and 14th forced to requalify to avoid relegation to the Hockeyettan. However, after the regular season, on 15 March 2020 the Swedish Ice Hockey Association (SIHA) cancelled the post-season due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden. No teams will be promoted nor relegated to or from HockeyAllsvenskan, and the next season of HockeyAllsvenskan will feature the same teams. J20 SuperElit
J20 Nationell is a junior ice hockey league composed of 20 teams in Sweden. Previously known as the J20 SuperElit, it is the highest-level junior ice hockey league in Sweden. The teams are divided in two groups, or divisions, ''Norra'' (North) and ''Södra'' (South), and are usually associated with a professional team in either the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) or HockeyAllsvenskan in order to develop talented youth for the professional teams. Hockeyettan is the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden. As of the 2015–16 Hockeyettan season, 2015–16 season, the league consists of 46 teams divided geographically into four groups. Hockeyettan operates a system of promotion and relegation with HockeyAllsvenskan and Division 2 (Swedish ice hockey), Division 2. From 1944 to 1975, Division I was the highest league in the Swedish ice hockey system, but with the creation of Swedish Hockey League, Elitserien (now the SHL) in 1975, it became the second tier.
