Bill Smart (''William Smart;'' born June 5, 1948, in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a retired male middle-distance running, middle distance Running, runner from Canada, who represented his native country at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany. He claimed the silver medal in the men's 1500 metres event at the 1971 Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia and the bronze in the 800 metres at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh. Athletics is a group of sporting events that involves competitive running, jumping, throwing, and walking. The most common types of athletics competitions are track and field, road running, cross country running, and racewalking.
