William Richardson (1656–1727)
William Richardson (1656–1727) was an Irish politician. He was the son of Major Edward Richardson of Legacorry (aka Richhill Castle), County Armagh, MP for County Armagh and his wife Anne Sacheverell, daughter of Francis Sacheverell and Dorothy Blennerhassett. He was educated at Trinity College Dublin. He was appointed High Sheriff of Armagh for 1690 and elected the MP for County Armagh in 1692 and 1715 and for Hillsborough in 1703. He married Elizabeth, the daughter of the Rt. Hon. William Richardson (Alabama Politician)
William Richardson (May 8, 1839 – March 31, 1914) was an American politician and lawyer. Born in Athens, Alabama to William Richardson and Anne Davis, Richardson served in the Civil War, fighting for the Confederacy. Civil War Richardson enlisted in Co. K, 50th Regiment Alabama Infantry and was wounded in the battle of Shiloh and was taken prisoner. He escaped from prison, was caught, and about to be shot as a spy at Murfreesboro when "on the morning air there came to our ears with heartfelt welcome the famous rebel yell," and General Forrest with his "critter company" rescued him. This account is given in Andrew Nelson Lytle's ''Bedford Forrest and His Horse Critters''. William then joined Company E of the 50th Alabama Infantry Regiment, and was again wounded at Chickamauga. George William Richardson (born 26 April 1938) is a former English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire between 1959 and 1965. Richardson was born at Marylebone, London, the son of Arthur Walker Richardson, who played for Derbyshire between 1928 and 1936 and was club captain for five of those years, taking the Championship in 1936. Richardson was educated at Winchester College and started his career at Derbyshire in the 1959 season, taking three wickets in his debut match against Worcestershire, and making his top score of 91 in his next match against Glamorgan. Against Kent, in one match he achieved his best bowling performance of 8 for 54 and in the other almost matched it with 7 for 31. William Percival Richardson (25 February 1861 – 13 June 1933) was an English schoolmaster and a sportsman who played one game of first-class cricket for Cambridge University and also won a Blue for rugby. He was born at Great Barford, Bedfordshire and died at Littlestone-on-Sea, Kent. Richardson was educated at Clifton College and Christ's College, Cambridge. He was in the cricket team at Clifton, but at Cambridge he was given only a single match: in the game against Lancashire in 1882 he scored 8 and 0 as a lower-order right-handed batsman and held one catch as a wicketkeeper. He was awarded a Blue for rugby football in 1883. Richardson graduated from Cambridge University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1884.
