William Redding
William Redding & Son, also known as Redding & Redding, was an architectural firm based in Denver, Colorado. The partnership included William Redding and his son E. Floyd Redding. Several of the buildings the firm designed are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1913 the firm of Redding and Redding was operating out of the Wyoming Building in Denver. Floyd Redding ran the Redding & Redding firm's Nogales, Arizona office in 1914. According to a 1918 issue of ''American Contractor'', the firm was also known as Redding & Redding in 1918. E. Floyd Redding is credited as the architect for the El Monte Hotel at 925 First Avenue in Monte Vista, Colorado. It is listed on the National Register. El Monte Hotel
The El Monte Hotel, located at 925 First Ave. in Monte Vista, Colorado was built between 1930 - 1931. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It is now known as the Monte Villa Inn. It was largely designed by E. Floyd Redding in Pueblo Revival style; it was built by Dutton-Kendall contractors. It is notable for its design and for how it came about. The town and its rural area long believed that a hotel was needed, and a committee was formed. The hotel was funded by public subscription following development of a plan and estimation of construction costs of $112,000. In a week-long drive, enough $100 shares were sold to raise $72,600, which, together with a bank mortgage, was just enough to enable the building to go forward. Hotel Boulderado
The Hotel Boulderado is located at 13th and Spruce St. in downtown Boulder, Colorado. It opened its doors on New Year's Day 1909. The original 1908 Otis Elevator is still in operation. As one of the first Boulder hotels, it is located in the heart of downtown. The hotel's name comes from the words "Boulder" and "Colorado" so no guest would forget where they had stayed.
