William Penn High School (Delaware)
William Penn High School, also known as William Penn or simply Penn, is a four-year comprehensive, coeducational public high school located in unincorporated New Castle County, Delaware, United States. It is adjacent to the New Castle city limits and has a New Castle postal address. The school is a member of the Colonial School District, and is the largest high school in the state of Delaware. The school mascot is the Colonial. In addition to New Castle the school district includes Delaware City, Port Penn, St. Georges, Wilmington Manor, portions of Wilmington, and half of Bear. William Penn High School (North Carolina)
William Penn High School, also known as High Point Normal & Industrial Institute, is a historic high school for African-American students located at High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina. The high school building was built in 1910–1911, and enlarged and renovated in 1929–1930. It is a two-story, 12 classroom Colonial Revival style brick building. It has a projecting three-bay entrance pavilion. Two other buildings associated with the High Point Normal & Industrial Institute are on the property. The Institute was established by Quakers in 1891. They were built about 1910 and are a gable end frame structure sheathed in corrugated metal with a distinctive monitor roof and a brick building with a low pitched roof. The school closed in 1968 and was re-opened in 2003 as an arts magnet high school, Penn-Griffin School for the Arts. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Harrisburg High School is a public high school located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This large urban high school is one of two public high schools operated by the Harrisburg City School District. In 2015, enrollment was reported as 1,165 pupils in 9th through 12th grades. The school employed 89 teachers. In 2014, Harrisburg High School enrollment was reported as 1,146 pupils in 9th through 12th grades, with 81% of pupils eligible for a free lunch due to family poverty. Penn High School
Penn High School is a Public education, public high school located just outside Mishawaka, Indiana, United States, near South Bend, Indiana, South Bend. It is the only high school in the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation, Penn-Harris-Madison (PHM) School Corporation. The district includes all of Osceola, Indiana, Osceola and portions of Granger, Indiana, Granger, Mishawaka, and South Bend, Indiana, South Bend. History Penn High School was opened on September 1, 1958, following a year of construction and a cost of $1 million. The first graduating class, the class of 1960, had roughly 200 seniors. Prior to the construction of Penn, students in the Penn and Harris Townships went to Mishawaka High School or Jimtown High School. The 1962 merger of the Penn and Harris Township expanded the school system. The following year, Madison Township was also incorporated, creating today's Penn-Harris-Madison school district.
