William Murphy (actor)
William Murphy was an American film actor active from the 1940s through the 1970s. A long-time friend of John Wayne and Robert Mitchum, Williams also spent many nights with Elvis Presley and his entourage the "Memphis Mafia". He reportedly regarded Hollywood as "an open invitation to party all night long". Played “Lt. Luther Palmer (July 31, 1904 – March 22, 1982) was an American film and television actor. Born in Xenia, Ohio. He appeared in over 300 films and television programs between 1929 to 1962. Palmer died in March 1982 of an illness, at the age of 77. He was buried in Eternal Valley Memorial Park.
