William Morley (1606–1658)
Sir William Morley, JP (1606 – 1658) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1626 and 1642. He supported the Royalist cause in the English Civil War. Morley was the son of John Morley, MP and Cecily Caryll, daughter of Sir Edward Caryll, and was educated at Trinity College, Oxford. He was knighted at Titchfield on 4 September 1625, via archive.org. Nicholas Stoughton (20 September 1592 – 4 March 1648) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1624 and 1648. He was the son of Sir Lawrence Stoughton, MP and his wife Rose Ive, the stepdaughter of William Hammond, MP. He was the brother of George Stoughton, MP. He matriculated at New College, Oxford on 30 March 1610 aged 18. He was a student of Inner Temple in 1613. John Temple (judge)
Sir John Temple (1600 – 14 November 1677) was an Anglo-Irish lawyer, courtier and politician who sat in the Irish House of Commons at various times between 1641 and 1677 and in the House of Commons of England from 1646 to 1648. He was Master of the Rolls in Ireland. Background and education Temple was born in Ireland, the son of Sir William Temple, provost of Trinity College Dublin, and his wife Martha Harrison, daughter of Robert Harrison of Derbyshire. Edward Dowse (1582–1648) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1640 to 1648. Dowse matriculated at Hart Hall, Oxford aged 15 on 14 October 1597, and was awarded BA on 8 May 1601 and MA on 8 May 1604. He was incorporated at Cambridge University in 1616. In 1625 he was elected Member of Parliament for Cricklade, and in April 1626 for Chichester. In April 1640 he was again elected for Chichester in the Short Parliament.
