William McLeod MBE is a Paralympian track and field athlete and lawn bowls player from Scotland competing mainly in category A events. In 1976 he competed as a lawn bowls player at the Summer Paralympis, winning a silver medal in the Men's singles. Four years later, at the 1980 Summer Paralympics in New York, he took gold in the Lawn Bowls Men's singles and the 60m sprint. William Duncan McLeod
William Duncan McLeod (April 4, 1852 – August 14, 1908) was a cheese maker, farmer and politician in Ontario. He represented Glengarry (provincial electoral district), Glengarry from 1902 to 1904 in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as a Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, Conservative. The son of Kenneth McLeod and Ann Duncan, he was born in Kirk Hill, Glengarry County, Ontario, Glengarry County, Canada West. In 1875, he married Jane McDougall. McLeod dealt in cheese and owned several factories. He was defeated by John Angus McMillan when he ran for reelection in 1904. He died four years later. William Mackenzie McLeod
William Mackenzie McLeod (July 4, 1854 – June 13, 1932) was a Canadian physician and politician. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, McLeod was educated at Sydney Academy and Dalhousie University. He took his medical course in New York City at Bellevue Hospital Medical College graduating in 1875. In 1889 and 1890 he also took special courses in the diseases of the eye, ear, nose and throat at New York Post-Graduate Medical School and Hospital. From 1875 until 1879, he practiced his profession in Sydney, when he entered the political field and was elected to the House of Commons of Canada succeeding his brother, Hugh McLeod, to represent the riding of Cape Breton. A Liberal-Conservative, he was defeated in 1882. In 1883, he was appointed Medical Superintendent of Quarantine at Sydney. ''Calculated Risk'' is a 1963 British crime thriller film directed by Norman Harrison. Plot Bank robber Kip is released from Wormwood Scrubs Prison on a snowy morning. He goes to visit the grave of his wife who died while he was in prison. Back home he starts to plan a bank robbery based on idea a co-prisoner had told in prison before dying. This involves breaking into a basement bank vault via the cellar of a bombed house and interconnecting old air-raid shelter.
