William McKeown
William McKeown (15 April 1962 – 25 October 2011) was a Northern Irish painter, watercolourist, and draughtsman. Life McKeown was born to a Presbyterian family in County Tyrone. He was brought up on a farm which remained an inspiration throughout his artistic life. In 1980–81, he studied Art History at the University College, London. In 1984, he graduated in Textile Design at Central School of Art & Design, London. In 1987, he graduated with an MA in Design from Glasgow School of Art. McKeown worked at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, demonstrating weaving techniques. He then moved to Dublin in 1988 and worked at the Kerlin Gallery until 1991. In 1994, he graduated with a Masters in Fine Art at the University of Ulster in Belfast. The Kerlin Gallery presented his first solo show in 1996. County Tyrone

Lismore Castle
Lismore Castle ( ga, Caisleán an Lios Mhóir) is a castle located in the town of Lismore, County Waterford in the Republic of Ireland. It belonged to the Earls of Desmond, and subsequently to the Cavendish family from 1753. It is currently the Irish home of the Duke of Devonshire. It was largely re-built in the Gothic style during the mid-nineteenth century for The 6th Duke of Devonshire. Royal Hibernian Academy
The Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) is an artist-based and artist-oriented institution in Ireland, founded in Dublin in 1823. Like many other Irish institutions, such as the RIA, the academy retained the word "Royal" after most of Ireland became independent as the Irish Free State in December 1922. History The RHA was founded as the result of 30 Irish artists petitioning the government for a charter of incorporation. The Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA, formerly abbreviated as BAM/PFA) are a combined art museum, repertory movie theater, and archive associated with the University of California, Berkeley. The Drawing Center
The Drawing Center is a Manhattan, New York, museum and a nonprofit exhibition space that focuses on the exhibition of drawings, both historical and contemporary. History The Drawing Center was founded by former assistant curator of drawings at the Museum of Modern Art Martha Beck in 1977, with the mandate of seeking to "express the quality and diversity of drawing -- unique works on paper -- as a major art form". Christopher Nicholas Roald Logsdail OBE (born June 1945) is a British art dealer, the owner of the Lisson Gallery, a contemporary art gallery on Bell Street, Lisson Grove, London, founded by Logsdail in 1967, and was joined shortly after by Fiona McLean. Early life and education Logsdail was born in 1945, the son of John Logsdail and Else Kirsten Dahl, sister of the author Roald Dahl. It was his uncle who introduced him to art. Hugh Mulholland
Hugh Mulholland (born in 1966 in Lurgan, County Armagh) is a curator based in Belfast. Mulholland was the founder and director of Context Gallery in Derry. In 1997 he was appointed director of the Ormeau Baths Gallery, Belfast. During his tenure at the gallery he curated major exhibitions by prominent International artists including, Barbara Freeman, Jack Pakenham, Yoko Ono, David Byrne, Hans Peter Kuhn, Stan Douglas, Willie Doherty, Victor Sloan and Alistair MacLennan. The Ormeau Baths Gallery closed in controversial circumstances in March 2006 following an announcement by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland that it would not be renewing its funding of the gallery. Gavin Delahunty is an Irish curator and was the Hoffman Family Senior Curator of Contemporary Art at the Dallas Museum of Art. MIMA, or Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, is a contemporary art gallery based in the centre of Middlesbrough, England. Dorothy Cross
Dorothy Cross (born 1956) is an Irish artist. Working with differing media, including sculpture, photography, video and installation, she represented Ireland at the 1993 Venice Biennale. Central to her work as a whole are themes of sexual and cultural identity, personal history, memory, and the gaps between the conscious and subconscious. In a 2009 speech by the president of UCC, Cross was described as "one of Ireland’s leading artists".
