William Lake Provincial Park
William Lake Provincial Park is a provincial park located in the Rural Municipality of Morton, in southwest Manitoba on Turtle Mountain (). Its sister park, the much larger Turtle Mountain Provincial Park, lies to the west. The park is centered on William Lake (). It is one of two lakes in Manitoba named William Lake; the other is located in Northern Manitoba near Little Limestone Lake. Park amenities include a campground, a beach, and hiking trails. Turtle's Back Hiking Trail The trail route passes through the surrounding Turtle Mountain Community Pasture. It is in length and moderate in difficulty. The trail climbs to the 'Turtle's Back', giving hikers views of the surrounding area. Turtle Mountain Community Pasture The community pasture is in size. The Rural Municipality of Morton is a former List of rural municipalities in Manitoba, rural municipality (RM) in the Canada, Canadian Provinces and territories of Canada, province of Manitoba. It was originally incorporated as a rural municipality on November 1, 1890. It ceased on January 1, 2015, as a result of its Manitoba municipal amalgamations, 2015, provincially mandated Merger (politics), amalgamation with the Boissevain, Manitoba, Town of Boissevain to form the Municipality of Boissevain – Morton. The former RM was located in the southwestern part of the province, on the border with the state of North Dakota in the United States. Turtle Mountain Provincial Park
Turtle Mountain Provincial Park is a provincial park located in the southwestern portion of the Canadian province of Manitoba. Within it are the Adam Lake and Max Lake campgrounds. The park is known for its bike trails, fishing, back country cabins and canoe routes. The park is very popular with families and outdoor enthusiasts. Little Limestone Lake
Little Limestone Lake is a lake located in Little Limestone Lake Provincial Park in northern Manitoba, Canada, about north of Winnipeg, and north of the town of Grand Rapids, Manitoba. It is located in the Little Limestone Lake Park Reserve, an example of karst geology, in the Manitoba Lowlands. The eastern shore is within the traditional territory of the Mosakahiken Cree Nation. Little Limestone Lake Park Reserve is an IUCN (World Conservation Union) protected area. It was designated mainly for conservation of a specific natural feature of outstanding or unique value. The lake is considered to be the largest and most outstanding example of a marl lake in the world. The Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA) was a branch under Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), a department of the Federal Government of Canada. The Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration was established by an Act of Parliament under Prime Minister R. B.
