William Agnew Johnston
William Agnew Johnston (July 24, 1848 – January 23, 1937) was a Kansas State Representative in 1875, Kansas State Senator, justice of the Kansas Supreme Court from December 1, 1884, to January 12, 1903, and chief justice from January 12, 1903, to June 30, 1935. Life and education Johnston was born July 24, 1848, in Pattersons Corners, Ontario, Pattersons Corners, Ontario, Canada, to Mathew and Jane Agnew Johnston. After the American Civil War in 1865 he moved with his uncle Hugh Agnew to Rockford, Illinois. He attended the Rockford Academy and worked as a fruit picker for four years. While at Rockford he observed a murder trial which was the start of his interest in law. He then moved in 1869 to Appleton City, Missouri, where he taught school and studied law in his spare time. William "Massa" Johnston (13 September 1881 – 9 January 1951) was a New Zealand rugby union and rugby league international. He was part of the 1905 Original All Blacks tour and the professional 1907-1908 New Zealand rugby tour of Great Britain. Hunter Johnston (born December 19, 1980) is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Delirious, currently signed to Impact Wrestling. He is known for his outrageous antics, such as running around aimlessly and screaming wildly when the opening ring bell sounds, and speaking in a rambling and mostly incoherent fashion. Delirious has competed internationally in Japan, Mexico, Austria, Germany and the United Kingdom. He is a former head booker of Ring of Honor Wrestling and was Executive Producer of Ring of Honor Television, producing and writing over 500 episodes of weekly television along with producing and writing hundreds of live events in the 2010s. William Wade Johnston (April 9, 1898 – March 8, 1978) was an American baseball player. He was born in 1898 in Middleport, Ohio. He played in Negro league baseball, Negro major leagues as an outfielder from 1920 to 1932. In 12 seasons in the majors, he compiled a .303 batting average, .373 on-base percentage, and totaled 790 hits, 487 runs scored, and 371 RBIs. He led the Negro National League (1920-1931), Negro National League with 10 triples in 1930 and with 35 walks in 1931. He died in 1978 in Steubenville, Ohio. William McClure Johnston (born 19 December 1946) is a Scottish former professional footballer, best remembered for his time at Rangers and West Bromwich Albion. He made 22 international appearances for Scotland and was selected for their 1978 FIFA World Cup squad, but was sent home from the tournament after failing a drugs test. Between 1980 and 1986, he served as Chaplain-General to the Forces and head of the Royal Army Chaplains' Department, British Army. Early life and education Johnston was born on 29 June 1930. He was educated at Wesley College, a Methodist private school in Dublin, Ireland. He studied at Trinity College, Dublin, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in 1955; as per tradition, his BA was promoted to a Master of Arts (MA Dubl) in 1969. Ordained ministry Johnston was ordained in the Church of Ireland as a deacon in 1955 and as a priest in 1956.
